Nathanial on the move

In the past week Nathanial has accomplished his crawling techniques. He is moving across the floor very fast but hasn't mastered the art of pushing himself to fully crawling. He tries to pull himself up but does a bridge instead. It is rather cute. He can also pull himself to standing if he is holding onto something. For a little boy of 61/2 months I think he is doing very well.
Today he discovered the cat door, when Jeff opened the door to go to the basement, he saw some toy blocks on the other side. Nathanial had put them through the door.

This weeks job will be to child proof the house..

Nathanials first Chanukah

Nathanial had his first Chanukah this weekend and all I can say is wow. It is so different from a mommy perspective. On Friday we went to Grandma and Grandpas for dinner and Bubbie and Zadie too. On Saturday, We hosted Grandma and Grandpa and Bubbie and Zaidie for dinner. Sunday which was mommys birthday we went to a wedding where Nathanial was the bell of the ball, waving, smiling, and singing to others. In the evening we went to a Chanukah party and he was up and smiling and trying to crawl for everyone.

Things that really annoy me

Today I was running some errands and I got hit with a 150 dollar parking ticket. I didn't even park. I went to the dry cleaner to drop off a load of laundry. There were no parking spots near the dry cleaner, so I went right infront of the door where a couple of other cars were and went to empty out the car of the dry cleaning. I quickly went and put everything on the counter, as I was returning to the car a lady in a wheelchair, waiting for her wheeltrans dropped her purse. People were stepping over her stuff not helping. I picked up all her items and then went to park the car...Wouldn't you know in that time I got the ticket. Of Course I am going to fight it...the guy was watching...didn't he see I had a baby? But this whole thing got me on a tangent because as I left I saw someone park in the handicap spot and they didn't have a sticker and they jumped out the of car and ran inside the store. So this got me to list my top 10 annoying things I have noticed.

1. People who park in handicap spots who don't need it
2. People who can't help elders
3. Strangers who touch my baby
4. when the newspaper boy drops the paper off and its soaking wet
5. People leave garbage at the curb for weeks on end
6. People who drive 30 in the fast lane
7. Parking officers wasting their time watching people who park for a second instead of watching those who park else where which is worse then where I parked
8. When people talk about others behind their back..say it to them..if not you know it always gets back to them somehow.
9. Long line ups in the store when its because someone else is taking up so much time
10.When people don't think before they speak

Theres so much more but I will leave it at that for now.

heinz and the Children's Miracle Network

I thought this was really good for new moms to help others.

Heinz is proud to be the only national baby food sponsor of the Children's Miracle Network. You can help us support this worthy program by simply saving your Heinz baby food labels. When you buy Heinz jarred baby foods, toddler foods, infant or toddler cereals, save the labels/boxtops and send them to your local participating Children's Miracle Network Hospital Foundation.

Heinz will make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network for each label collected!

Through the Children's Miracle Network, your Heinz labels will fund medical research, new equipment, and other critical hospital programs in your local participating children's hospital.

Since our partnership began in 1991, Canadian parents have helped to raise more than $2,000,000 for the Children's Miracle Network, simply by collecting and submitting their Heinz baby labels!

Here is where you can send it too: There are more locations on their website.

Israeli Source

Today I went to the Israeli Source located on Doncaster...BIG mistake to go there on a Sunday. Anyways they were having a huge sale on Hanukkah things. So I bought Nathanial a bunch of things from there...you could honestly go ballistic in there. I bought him a Hanukkah Cd which is so cute, A book with the Hebrew alphabet as well as a plush toy with the alphabet on it and a book for Hanukkah. Cost me under $25.00. I went to Israels today as well and the same things there were so much more. I know where I am going to go from now on for gifts.

Celebrity Moms

I have been reading over the last few months regarding celebrity mothers and their capabilities at parenthood. Everyone has an opinion good or bad. In one of my previous blogs I wrote about the controversy of Madonna adopting a little boy. Here is a woman known for stiring up controversy, the one time she does something non controversial it becomes a media frenzy. Angelina Jolie has adopted 2 children and is on her way to adopting a 3rd. These children need families. There are so many children in need of homes and here these people who can provide so much are getting slack. Not only are they helping these children they are helping their villages too.

The big controversial motherhood story at the moment is Britney...now there is an unfit mom. Shes out partying for the last 2 weeks day and night..no kids...Nanny's looking after them. She married a schmuck who left his pregnant girlfriend for her. He partied, cheated and spent her money and now he wants custody of the two boys. Neither one of them are fit to be parents to these boys at the moment. These boys are going to suffer greatly. I am just sorry that nobody is fighting on their behalf.
